As people continue to pester The Incredibles director Brad Bird about a possible sequel, the answers remain, for the most part, the same. Here is what Brad told AP while promoting his new film Ratatouille:
I love the world. I love the characters, and if I could come with a story that was as good or better than the original, I’d go there in a second. I have pieces of things that I would love to see in a sequel, but I haven’t got them all together yet, and I certainly wouldn’t want to come out there with something that is less than the original. … Sequels are not part of the business plan at Pixar. It’s all about the filmmakers being passionate about going somewhere.
I understand and respect Pixar’s view on sequels. Most companies now-a-days would jump at the possibility to make any kind of sequel or prequel off a popular property. And most of the time, the resulting film is bad, very bad. But I think that’s because most of the ideas don’t warrant revisiting. But The Incredibles is different. There are so many great places you could take the characters. There are so many more great stories that could be told. Brad, the fans want more…

I love this fella & his attitude towards his films.
If we are lucky enough to see a sequel to The Incredibles
we know it will be done for the right reasons & not just
to make another quick buck.

The Incredibles 2 should be called “The search for E” where the E is Edna Mode. Essentially, some really terrifying villain kidnaps E for reasons unknown and its upto the iIncredibles to rescue her.

First of all The Incred’s has to be the BEST animated feature film of all times! Including Heavy Metal whic was my favorite until now. I have given a lot of thought about a sequel, an idea that I have concerns a character that designed and built all of the tools that Bob Parr (Mr. Incred’) uses in the begining of the film. The UnderMiner has stuck and wreaks havoc but the Increds’ now as a crime fighting family fend off his initial attack. However he promises revenge and to carry out his original threat to destroy peace and happiness. Via a mind altering sub sonic macine. And since all Supers have been either destoyed by Syndrome or are still in hiding, the technology of the Supers is classified and the inventors are otherwise occopied. Bob,Frozone and “E” must quickly find the only person who can defeat the UnderMiner’s weapon. This is where my character comes into play, he is found much to his displeasure but resolves to help the remaining Supers to defeat the UnderMiner. This is when a trip back to Nomanisan reveals that Syndrome has allready started such a project, Mirage has been left on the island to oversee the daily op’s and she joins the team to help the Supers. This is all I have up til’ now but I will continue to rub my agleal cells together for more story! Of course my character looks like me! I am somewhat of mad scientist myself, but with a big heart and a big nose and long grey/brown hair. My artist friends like to scetch me becuse of my facial features. At an advanced age there is little doubt that I will strongly resemble Albert Einstien Also in closing I would love to have any house plans for the Parr’s house so that in the future I can consruct that very same house in real life as an actual live-in home.

Sorry about the duplicate blog reply’s, I found some words misspelled. Also I called Syndro, Syndrome! DUH! It would seem to me that Buddy ‘Lil’ Syndro, needed a mentor after the unfortunate incedent that led to the loss of loyalty to Mr. Incred’. This is the same time line as the lawsuits and the sequestering of the Supers. Captain Opel A.K.A. J.P. VonUhlan becomes his friend and mentor, he helps Buddy channel his energy and produce his inventions. Since C. Opel is the man who built the hi tech-tools for Mr.Incred and other Supers, he is also out of a job. However, unknown to C. Opel Buddy is planning his revenge on all Supers ,one in particular. When C.Opel realizes this, he leaves Buddy to his own devices and opens a small repair shop. Tune in next week for more! Same time same channel!

I would love to see an Incredibles 2 in the works. I absolutly loved the first one. Not only do I own the movie, but I also own the game and soundtrack. Both the game and movie were great and the soundtrack had great music. I would love to see the same in the sequel!

i would love to see a sequal this movie was great,.. i think in the sequal they should show the kids a bit older (of course) n have jack-jack play a bigger role in the flim. i think the film should be based as the kids coming of age and taking on the role as the “new supers” as the parents step down n final retire (for real)

I agree, the people want more… I’m dying for a sequel as I would love to see life with their whole family together as supers. Plus, the potential is unlimited and I never tire of the original.. I really hope Brad Bird finds his story. I know it’s waiting.

I love the Incredibles. So does my 10 year old sister. She wants an Incredibles 2 movie to come out eventually. So do I, please make one Incredibles 2 to come out. I’m begging you. Please do it!

I want an Incredibles 2 sequel to come out soon. I want it start when the Incredibles face off against a new enemy called the Underminer. Frozone comes in and the six Supers face off against the villain. Before they can confront him however, drills and robots come out of the ground like moles in a garden. Mr. Incredible tells his family to go and evacuate the city, as well as stopping the drills, along with the rest of the citizens of Metroville. Then Mr. Incredible and Frozone team up and agree to get to the Underminer before he causes any more damage. Along the way, the two Supers fight against robots and avoid things falling out of the sky. The two get to the Underminer’s machine, but he quickly escapes underground. Mr. Incredible and Frozone venture in and keep on fighting more robots.
As they still venture through, Mr. Incredible and Frozone get to the main computer and learn of the Magnomizer, a machine that he has built and can be a threat to the world if it isn’t stopped. In order to stop it, the two Supers must go through the Sludge Station.
Mr. Incredible and Frozone fight through more robots and obstacles. They eventually destroy a machine blocking their path, and destroy a wall which leads outside into a snowy part of the underground. They go through it and get into a room where they fight the Magnomizer Guardian and its robots. Mr. Incredible keeps on throwing objects towards the Magnomizer Guardian. He apparently does enough to make it unable to shoot out any sludge balls or fire balls, thus destroying it.
Mr. Incredible and Frozone take an elevator that leads to the Magnomizer basement, where they figure out that the place is unstable and falling apart without the Magnomizer Guardian. They fight through more robots again and venture their way up, avoiding falling from the collapsing stairs that they go through and still battling off robots. They eventually reach the top roof of the Magnomizer, where the machine itself is. While Mr. Incredible unscrews the bolts that holds down the Magnomizer with his super strength, Frozone uses his powers to keep off the guarding robots. Finally, Mr. Incredible unscrews every bolt holding down the Magnomizer and the entire Magnomizer building starts to blow up. Mr. Incredible and Frozone quickly escape through a tank-like machine and it falls all the way into a deep, dark pit the machine makes when it falls through the ground.
The Underminer is aware that Mr. Incredible and Frozone have destroyed the Magnomizer and alerts the Crustodian, the head of the Giant Robot Factory, that the two Supers might arrive to the Factory. So the Crustodian alarms every robot in the factory about Mr. Incredible and Frozone’s arrival in the robot factory. Finally, the two arrive and go against even more robots. Apparently, the two finally reach to the main office where the Crustodian is. They fight him and take down more robots helping him, also accidentally activating a bomb that will blow up the factory - starting with the office! Eventually, Mr. Incredible and Frozone defeat the Crustodian in battle by destroying his giant robot body and the entire place slowly starts to crumble. The Crustodian, who is really just a glass cylinder with electricity in it to keep it active, apparently begins to leave as his remaining live head rolls and jumps off a ledge, and Mr. Incredible is obsessed with stopping him. Frozone tells Mr. Incredible they have no time, and Mr. Incredible leaves once the Crustodian disappears. They take an elevator that leads them to an underwater tower.
Mr. Incredible and Frozone figure out they are in a power impressure plant run by a robot named Dug - and the plant is slowly breaking and the water is coming through! After travelling from elevator to elevator and fighting off difficult robots, the two finally reach Dug. Dug tells him he didn’t mean to have robots attack the two Supers and he agrees to help them save a group of scientists that are trapped somewhere. On the way the two help protect Dug from robots he can’t command, upcoming lasers, deadly obstacles, and gaps. After all this, Dug opens an elevator for Mr. Incredible and Frozone to go into to save the scientists. Unfortunately, Dug refuses to go any further and leaves Mr. Incredible and Frozone on their own.
As the Underminer announces to all his robots that even though most of his plans are foiled and the robot army is delayed, Doomsday will come. The robots’ next mission is to kill the scientists once the sludge is completed. Mr. Incredible and Frozone easily find the scientists in the Corrupterator building, but they must keep them from getting killed by lasers. After the scientists are saved, they go down through an escape tunnel and Mr. Incredible and Frozone continue their journey. They eventually confront the Underminer and try to stop him, but the mutant escapes in his giant robot, the Gilgenbot. Mr. Incredible and Frozone then get to an elevator in which they go up to the ground to stop the Underminer once and for all as the rest of the Corrupterator building falls to a crumbling death.
Mr. Incredible and Frozone finally reach upground and confront the Underminer who shows off his giant machine called the Gilgenbot. But first, Mr. Incredible and Frozone must defeat a group of robots the Underminer has for them. After they succeed, the Underminer comes in to attack with another, smaller machine. The two damage the machine, but the Underminer returns to his more giant machine to rest while the rest of his machines try to defeat Mr. Incredible and Frozone. Fortunately, the two Supers succeed in taking down the machines and the Underminer returns to fight Mr. Incredible and Frozone. Even though he returned to his machine, he quickly came back with no obstacles for Mr. Incredible and Frozone to face. In the end, Mr. Incredible and Frozone finally defeat the Underminer, making his machine go haywire, fly into the sky, and come down hard on the Gilgenbot, causing a giant explosion in which the Underminer is killed in. Mr. Incredible and Frozone escape the blast and Mr. Incredible’s family arrive just in time to watch with Mr. Incredible and Frozone defeat the Underminer and save the world once more. Then a big huge plane comes on top of the city and starts shooting the street. And then another villian pops out the plane and saying that he wants to rule over the whole world doing whatever he says. His name is Poisonomous because he squirts poison out from his plane and hands. Then Mr. Incredible jumps in to the air. Well, that’s my story that I made up for the new Incredibles sequel. Since Poisonomous is a new enemy make an Incredibles 3!

Please, please, please Disney/Pixar….More Incredibles!!! I’d even take a straight to DVD movie at this point. I feel there are quite a few avenues to take the story and franchise. I am not a writer, but I think anyone who is a fan has lots of ideas for new stories. I’m sure the pros can think of something. Please, make it happen!!!!

I would love to see the sequal start out with the Incredibles fighting and defeating the Underminer. As you know, at the end of the first movie, Violet and Tony begin the start of something new by becoming boyfriend and girlfriend. Unfortunetly, what Violet doesn’t know is that Tony is an supervillan who plans to destroy the incredibles. When Violet’s parents find out, they tell Violet, but she does not believe them. One day, even though her parents forbid her to see him, Violet sneeks out to see Tony. Then, it all begins. Tony tells Violet the truth, and at the same time captures her family and blackmails her by saying if you don’t join me on the evil side I will kill your family, along with you.Violet slaps Tony harshley and ends up making him fall on the escape button which releases her family. In the end, even being phisacly and mentally hurt by Tony, Violet puts him behind bars and apologized to her family. She couldn’t help but cry, and her parents understood. She was only 14, and her ex-boyfriend had lied to her for 5 months. She was able to get over it though, and meets a new boy named Cody Smith. THE END!
P.S.- I have a suggestion for a special feature on the movie, maybe this time you could make annimated outtakes like what you did in Monsters Inc. that would be REALLY funny! :)

Brad, You got us hook, line, and stienker. How about feeding us movie goers? You’ve developed a most fabulous film. My son drug me to the movie, and now I, er, he can’t wait until you get the other one together. Come on man, this thing has the best of all potentials.
You can’t hide from us forever, we’ll find you.
Naw, really, we’d just love to see the next one. Great job Brad!
Keep em coming.
December 21st, 2007 at 11:28 pm
P.S. You could introduce new heroes. I think the bit about Violet and Tony wouldn’t work, it was already done in one of the “lion King” series.
December 27th, 2007 at 5:22 pm
first i would like to say i love the movie. it is so cool. i love the action and the adventure it’s awsome! i really love the ending though. i love the part with tony and violet ( i hope i selled it right i have really bad spelling) that part is so cool and cute. my friend had this idea about tony being a super in hiding, i was like that’s a god idea, she’s full of good ideas me i have none. i like her ideas she tells me about it in the cutest way. it about tony violet being the new incedbiles and how tonys an angel and violet being violet and dash being dash and a buncgc more. she tells me that story every time i see her, she makes it better each time she tells me it.
she told that she read something about tony being a superv, she told she would cry if that happened, i was like that would never happen, i hope it doesn’t. owell gatta go i sorry if you hate u hate me byebye

January 17th, 2008 at 8:18 pm
I think that they should make a new one but the kids should be older. It would be very good.
January 25th, 2008 at 10:04 pm
I agree the next movie should take place when the kids are older that way jak jak can be part of the movie
January 28th, 2008 at 10:28 am
i think also the characters should be older and now more about there powers that’s one .
the film should start with the incredibles falling appart as a family an as a the incredibles them selves they fal appart and each go there own way wan it comes on fighting villians they all let there own suites made and as a family voilet is always sitting in her room dash is always out jak jak seems to be always busy and the parent keep evoiding each other and it seems be going for this a long time
when they all fight a villian they cant defeat on they own an they need to work together again what bring a lot off trouble but tey each other agian the rest you can fill in yourself

The Incdredibles 2 is ESSENTIAL. I happen to just finish watching it only a few moments ago and the last scene depicts Jak-Jak with his mask on. Based on what we all saw with the Jak-Jak Attack! short and the final moments of Syndrome’s kidnapping attempt, I think it would be amazing to see Jak-Jak getitng involved with the family on another mission. This is not debateable! The public must see another! Just so long as you stick with the superior animation as the first movie I believe The Incredibles 2 would be nothing but success.

What?… a sequel?.. Of coarse not, not just yet anyways. Let the rat finish the cooking then we can dine for a new dish (incredibles 2). I think it should add a bit of teenage family problem now that Dash & the sister are grown up. Or a bit of crisis where it may require the heroes to go to the jungles of Africa & experience a safari & african jungle action with plenty of wildlife & getting lost in the jungle. Or Dash & the sister both finding it hard to corp with dating a boyfriend & girlfriend who happen to be both from the same family too.
What can i say, am addicted to pixar & i am addicted to the whole crew of the incredibles production team. Well nice hard work. THANKS for a beautifull sweet tale.
One more thing, in the next sequel please show the wife of the ice man that Samuel L jackson plays. I would love to see how Brad Bird will picture her.
Tito

March 22nd, 2008 at 5:17 pm
Omg u hav 2 bring out a 2nd 1 th 1st 1 was sooooooooo kewl nd omg u hav 2 make it mainly bout th kids.
Make it based on like th movie Sky High wit th special skewl 4 th teen supers nd its taken ova by a group of super villians nd suprise, suprise th head honco is Syndrome so its up 2 th kids 2 prove 2 their parents they can handle wat eva is thrown in their direction.
P.s put bout Mirage in it 2 cos th way she helpd th incredibles in th 1st 1 jus screams tht she should get a more major part!
April 9th, 2008 at 1:48 pm
I’ve given quite a bit of thought to this, about what makes the incredibles so, well, incredible! and I think that the reason is in seeing the superheroes as ordinary people, they are a family, siblings who argue, albeit with super speed and forcefields, two its incredible coming of age story, with the scenes of violet, and the kids’ reaction to seeing their parents use their superpowers to fight for the first time was a very cool scene. So I think the Incredible 2 should simply carry on that, and answer the questions from the first, I think the worst thing pixar could do would be to make an epic about the “under-miner” or something like “The return of syndrome,” though I have contemplated the idea of mirage and exactly what her name means. I think some of the things should be addressed are a) what has the government done about the amnisty, can the incredibles assume hero work, perhaps only in the greatest emergencies? b) How is Mrs. Parr handling Jack-Jack’s new powers and keeping the neighbors at bay? etc… another reason I believe for the incredibles success is the classic feel that the movie has Helen and Edna talking sound a bit like Laura and Millie on Dick Van Dyke, and the various small Marital plot lines, add an air of Dick-van-dyke style adult yet family humor. Among these observations a multitude of wonderful plot lines spring to mind.
The Government, has given supers a little grace and installed special phones, to allow the remaining supers to act ONLY WHEN CALLED UPO. Robert Parr, is looking for a job and living off of the remaining earnings from working for syndrome……
I think as long a pixar keeps the original story in mind, I think a new equally original and creative story will fall right into place.
April 19th, 2008 at 4:38 pm
They should creat a increadables 2 movie
they can fight along side Jack Jack
and start up the new world of hero
i think that they could start right of where
they stopped fitting with the mole and take it
from there
May 11th, 2008 at 5:41 pm
I’d like to change something!!!! Instead of his name being Cody, how about GAVIN!!!!! THAT NAME ROX! :)
May 17th, 2008 at 3:27 pm
HeY i cant tell u how popular the incredibles 2 would be ud make so much money and iv waited since i was 10 to c the incredibles 2 and im 13 now.
May 29th, 2008 at 10:03 am
I believe there could be more to show in the sequel, i understand we all need to see part 2, lets not rush them else it wouldn’t be as nice as part 1.
May 29th, 2008 at 10:24 am
…O Geez am getting goose bumps already, can’t wait, Ohh brad please sip some red wine & let the nice ideas pop for the part 2. I can’t seem to stop watching it, especially that part when Dash ran on water… My best part. I may be over 20 but bring it on. Tickle us with more action Brad.
