Yes! Two More Star Wars Films... They'll probably tell the story of Post ROTJ Era! The TV Show... are to be 1-hour in length... so if GL said he plans two more films... he's talking about theatre release... not TV!

Ok, Im a big fan of Star Wars but c'mon if he's really going to make 2 more 'movies' why doesnt he just put them in theatres. Lucas would make a fortune on that. The only reason its on TV is for advertisements. C'mon Lucas get it together man

Do either of you remember The Ewok movies, the caravan of courage or battle for endor? They went straight to TV debut and had that old time feel of the early eightys Star Wars flicks. I think with all the disappointment people have expressed with Episode 1 2 and 3, that this may be a good idea.

The whole focus of the Star Wars saga surrounded the Skywalker family. Lucas could be making a mistake of Epic Proportions.

the only reason to put this on tv is that you a want to make money and b know it will suck worse than the last 3 so you can say it was rushed or comprimises were made etc mark my words when this stinks the put it on tv excuse will be explanation or it didnt pan out the way i wanted to becuase it was only an hour which is crap because he could make them 2 hours a piece and the network would kill each other for the rights to it if it does well this is just his version of a pilot to test for a full time sitcom

George is a very good story teller. Why would it upset anyone that he is going to continue the story. I know there is problems with some of his movies.

REDO EPS 4 to 6! Are you fucking crazy?! they are what made star wars, redoing them with wanky blue screen would be sickening to watch!

The made for TV movies might be an introduction into the series. Sorta like what battlestar galactica had with its mini series.

It was going to be about the jedi's getting back in control, and the sith order trying to stop them.

I bet the movies will be about Boba Fett. George did say that the movies will be based on other characters, not part of the Skywalker family. The story of Boba Fett would be a good one I think. Knowing George, he will probably even splice in clips from the original Star Wars Return of the Jedi when Boba Fett gets eaten by the thing.

This will be good if:

1. Lucas does not direct the films.
2. Lucas does not write the screenplay for the films.
3. Lucas only has a part in funding the films.

And I can't believe he called Spidey 3 "silly with no storyline". Has he read his own writing? His movies have the best action, they lack story and plot depth. He's a moron.

That's not new news as last year, it was already announced there would be one
movie (2-hour worth) about young Yoda and how he leads the remaining Jedi to
destroy the Sith Order.... that might explain no Skywalker as it'd be 700 or so years before the 6 movies.

Lucas can do what he wants with HIS movies, get over all the things you didn't like about the movies and accept, some people like the idea of this. Everyone is entitled to their own oppinion and do not deserve to be pointlessly insulted for that.

Im a big fan of the star wars novels. Almost all of the 100+ novels center around the Skywalkers and/or the Solos. The next novel which comes out at the end of May takes place 40 years after the dealth of the Dealth Star. Luke, Leia, and Han are old folks but still play large parts in the story. Keep in mind that these are official Star Wars stories which Lucas owns the rights to, Picked the authors, and controls the content of. Official Cannon, Lucas sanctioned Material. I Hope they stay true to the long, rich story line that exists in the Star Wars fiction

Apple and iPod are all over this. The reason you'd make it two one-hour films rather than (at least one) feature-film release is because people will download this until the end of time. Each movie will be released on iTunes for download, and will be the #1 most-downloaded video of all time.

Think the problem is that people in general have forgotten the magice the full-scale theater provides. For me, I'd never opt for watching a movie on my (albeit a bigscreen) over the theater experience. Because that's exactly what going to the movies is...an experience.

Saying that, I can't BELIEVE people would actually opt for having a movie on the ipod in their pocket over seeing it in the theater, but again, that appears to be what's going on....

For heavens sake................NO ....enough already. NO more star wars please..
