
Universal has announced the title for the third film in The Mummy series. The Mummy 3: Curse Of The Dragon will hit theaters on July 11th 2008. Previously Reported: Rob Cohen (xXx) is directing, and Brendan Fraser returns as Rick O’Connell. Rachel Weisz has decided to sit this one out. The film will take place in ancient China and will move forward to a post-World War II setting. Jet Li is also set to star.

Rachel Weisz did the right thing in walking away from this film, even the title sounds horrible.

I don’t know….thats kind of like biting the hand that feeds you. I know its part 3! But she was no one until she waS CUTESY LITTLE Evey, And as a good of a move as it may be, Id like to see her reprise her role again. There will be more oscar fodder

Its called walking away from a very bad movie. I respect Rachel more for enough sense for not doing it.

I agree. BUT, that was the movie that made her a star and if you want to find the silver lining in this whole debacle she will be a part of a trilogy.

i want 2 see the movie but im disapointed that Rachel wont be in it. well it is here choice so we cant do anything about it

who will watch it w/o Rachel…The cast is good with the old ones especially Jet Li is added….they should think of it….Rachel is the best with that role…it has been replaced with a blonde…

I have to say that I’m a little disappointed that Rachel Weisz isn’t in this one. I love the other two movies and it won’t be the same without her. I still intend to go see it though.

I really enjoyed the first two Mummy movies, but I don’t understand how re-locating to China will continue with the theme. I agree that Rachel fits with the movie @ Jet plane “replaced with a blonde” I’m disappointed about that too!!!
