Vince Vaughn’s Wild West Comedy Show Red Band Movie Trailer

I'm not a huge fan of comedy tour movies. I'd much rather watch an hour long uncensored comedy set on HBO. Everyone in a while I'll stumble into Bill Cosby's Himself on cable – I've watched that thing about 100 times and it never gets old. Anyway, Vince Vaughn produced and stars in a new comedy tour documentary called Vince Vaughn's Wild West Comedy Show: 30 Days & 30 Nights – Hollywood to the Heartland. Yeah, I think they're going for the Guinness record for world's longest movie title.

The documentary was filmed from September 12th to October 12th, 2005. Vaughn hand picked four stand-up comedians to do a 30 show tour, in the spirit of the old west variety shows. Vaughn plays the emcee for the month long comedy tour which also featured surprise celebrity and musical guests.

"The documentary gives audiences a rare opportunity to experience Vaughn and his team as bring their unique styles and perspectives to regional audiences throughout Western, Southern and Midwestern states. Through rousing on-stage performances and behind-the-scenes interviews, the engaging grass roots documentary breaks down the true essence of each comedian's life altering experiences and the personal and professional challenges that will unite four comics, one movie star and legions of fans from Hollywood to the Heartland."

I tried watching that Dane Cook Tourgasm show last year, and that was just god awful. Hopefully Vince Vaughn proves to be more interesting than Cook and his cast of suck-up comedians. And I'm guessing these guys won't be making any planned pit-stops for laser tag or go-cart races, so I'm liking it better already. Anything that features the interaction between Jon Favreau and Vaughn is usually great, so they've sold me on that alone (yes, I saw The Break-up...). You can check out the Red Band trailer for the film after the jump.
