Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg‘s This Is the End isn’t due out for another couple of months, but obviously a bunch of potheads like the ones depicted in the film aren’t about to let 4/20 pass unnoticed. The apocalyptic comedy has just put up a “holiday” greeting, in which stars Rogen, James Franco, Jay Baruchel, and Danny McBride show us their plans for the special day.
And since the portion of the audience that’s celebrating along with them is probably prone to getting the munchies, the studio’s offering to satisfy those cravings with some free popcorn. Hit the jump for more.

By definition, the apocalypse can only really happen once. But in the movies, it seems to crop up every few weeks or so.
Today we have three TV spots that face the end of the world in very different ways. In M. Night Shyamalan‘s After Earth, Will Smith and Jaden Smith struggle for survival on the now-uninhabitable planet. The characters of Guillermo del Toro‘s Pacific Rim, meanwhile, are trying to “cancel the apocalypse” with the aid of some giant-ass robots. And the famous folk in Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg‘s This Is the End may just go out laughing. Check ’em all out after the jump.

This week’s second trailer for This Is The End once again features what’s sure to be one of the better trailer moments this year: Michael Cera slapping Rihanna on the butt, and then her punching him in the face. In the red band trailer, that’s followed up with more of Cera’s true colors. In this all-ages version, things feel decidedly more tame, but no less funny. Both trailers together give us a great of idea of what to expect on June 12 when directors Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg bring together many of their funny, famous friends for a hard-R rated comedy about the end of the world.

The latest films from Baz Luhrmann, Michael Bay and Seth Rogen all have new posters out today.
There’s The Great Gatsby, Luhrmann’s 3D epic starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan and Tobey Maguire, out May 10. Then there’s Pain & Gain, Michael Bay’s return to “small” films, starring Dwayne Johnson, Mark Wahlberg and Anthony Mackie, which is out April 26.
Finally, there’s This Is The End, the directorial debut of Seth Rogen and his partner Evan Goldberg, starring James Franco, Danny McBride and Jonah Hill. It’s out June 12. Check out the three new posters below.

Put James Franco, Jonah Hill, Seth Rogen, Jay Baruchel, Danny McBride and Craig Robinson in a room together and there’s no telling what’s going to happen. They might make a sequel to Pineapple Express, they might try and perform an exorcism, or they might just rip each other to shreds verbally for each other’s enjoyment. And that’s not even considering what’s going on outside.
In This is the End, written and directed by Rogen and Evan Goldberg, those six actors are the survivors of a massive, star-studded party that occurs at James Franco’s house during the start of the apocalypse. Many stars die and, come June 12, many laughs will be had. After the big WonderCon panel over the weekend (read our coverage and interview here) they’re debuting a brand new red-band trailer. Check it out below, and check back later this week for the tamer, but still hilarious, green band trailer too. Read More »
Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg had a very tough task at WonderCon 2013. Their star-studded apocalyptic comedy This Is The End was the anchor on a three-film panel that included two franchises with a rabid fan base: The Mortal Instruments and Evil Dead. Both of those films electrified the crowd. But many people started filing out before the lesser-known third film, some original comedy starring James Franco, Jonah Hill, Seth Rogen, Jay Baruchel, Danny McBride, Craig Robinson, Michael Cera and Emma Watson. Those who stayed saw one of the best presentations of the day. The panel featured a new green band trailer for the film; two hilarious and revealing clips; a frank, funny Q&A; and Rogen dressed as Wolverine. Rogen and Goldberg were more than up for the challenge of selling the film.
Before all that, I sat down with the co-writers and co-directors for a 10-minute video interview where we discussed subjects such as the evolution of the movie’s idea (famous friends at a party during the end of the world), how the first-time directors developed a style on set and in post, securing so many cameos, and the scope of the film.
Watch that interview below, and read more about the panel for This Is The End, which opens June 12. Read More »
Sorry, fans of the 2008 comedy Pineapple Express. There’s not a sequel in the works. Instead, what you get on this April Fools Day is a parody trailer featuring all the film’s original stars, and a few other guests. Seth Rogen, James Franco, Danny McBride and Craig Robinson are joined by Jonah Hill (playing someone else) in a trailer for Pineapple Express 2. Check it out below. Read More »

Cool Posts From Around the Web:
This Is The End (formerly Jay and Seth Versus the Apocalypse, aka The End of the World, aka The Apocalypse) is the new title of the directoral debut of frequent collaborators Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg. The pair, who co-wrote Superbad, Pineapple Express and more, also co-wrote this apocalyptic comedy about a group of actors who end up hanging at James Franco‘s house during the end of the world. Co-stars, as themselves, include Rogen, Franco, Jay Baruchel, Jonah Hill, Aziz Ansari, Rihanna, Paul Rudd, Danny McBride, Emma Watson, Michael Cera, David Krumholtz, Martin Starr, Mindy Kaling, Craig Robinson and others. Some are larger roles, some are cameos but all are super frightened to be witnessing the end of days with their fellow famous friends.
With the Mayan Calendar predicting Friday, December 21 as the possible end of the world, Rogen decided it was a perfect time to release a teaser clip from the film, which is scheduled for release June 14. You know, just in case the end of the world stops us from seeing This Is The End. Check it out below. Read More »
