2016 is definitely the year of the superhero team-up. Cap and Iron Man are assembling their teams for Civil War, while Bats, Supes, and Wonder Woman brace themselves for the Dawn of Justice. And now two of TV’s most lovable superheroes are also looking to join forces.

This looks like a job for Supergirl! After debuting as the most watched new show of the season on October 26th, just over a month ago, Supergirl has been picked up by CBS for a full season order of 20 episodes.
The show has dropped in ratings since its debut, but that’s pretty standard for shows like this, where people might be curious about checking it out, only to realize that it’s not what they were hoping for. The new DC Comics TV series Supergirl had some strong opening ratings when it debuted, making it the most watched new series premiere of the fall. However, ratings have fallen since then, though not drastically enough for it to be canceled, at least not yet. Now Supergirl may spend some time with her Kryptonian cousin in a future episode, but not exactly how you think.

It’s been well over a century since Mark Twain first released Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn into the world of American literature, but their youthful spirit rages on in the first trailer for Band of Robbers. Written and directed by Adam and Aaron Nee, the indie film reimagines the classic all-American rascals as grown-up men in the modern day.
Huck (Kyle Gallner), fresh out of prison, is trying to go straight, but Tom (Adam Nee), now a crooked cop, drags him into a plot to find the treasure that eluded them in childhood. CBS hasn’t been shy about sharing Supergirl footage, but so far most of what we’ve seen has been from the pilot episode. Today, they’ve shared some never-before-seen footage from the rest of the season.
Melissa Benoist leads the cast as Kara Zor-El, cousin of Superman. At the age of 24, she finally decides to embrace her otherworldly powers and become the superhero she was meant to be.
