Final Love and Monsters Trailer

There are plenty of movies that aren’t getting released in theaters this year that audiences are hungry to sink their teeth into. Many of them have been moved to 2021, but this weekend brings the release of a movie that deserves the big screen treatment that has unfortunately been relegated to a small screen debut on premium VOD.

Love and Monsters takes place seven years after a monster apocalypse was unleashed on Earth. After spending years in a bunker with other survivors, a young guy named Joel (Dylan O’Brien) is sick of waiting for things to change, and he decides to head to the surface to reunite with his high school sweetheart Amy (Jessica Henwick), who is in another bunker 80 miles away. There’s just one problem: Joel is far from skilled at surviving, and he has a tendency to freeze whenever a giant monster comes around. See for yourself in the new Love and Monsters trailer below. Love and Monsters

Some of the most soul-crushing and formative experiences come from young romance. But imagine how much harder that kind of love would be in the wake of a giant monster apocalypse.

Love and Monsters is a new sci-fi romance that finds a young man named Joel (Dylan O’Brien) estranged from his high school girlfriend Aimee (Jessica Henwick) after giant monsters appeared on Earth and forced what remained of humanity to hide underground. But when he reconnects with her on a radio, Joel decides to risk his life to track her down and rekindle their love. It’s A Quiet Place mixed with teen romance, but with a lot more deadly creatures. paramount financial aid

Paramount Pictures, one of the oldest legacy studios in Hollywood, has not been in an ideal market position in a long, long time. Now the studio is getting some financial aid from New Republic Pictures, a production company whose credits include 1917, Black Swan, and Rocketman, for ten upcoming blockbusters, including Mission: Impossible 7 and Top Gun: Maverick.

The 100-plus-year-old studio has also decided to make its Dylan O’Brien-starring sci-fi adventure movie Love and Monsters available on premium video on demand services later this year, instead of giving it the theatrical release that was originally planned. Get the details below. Read More »
