A proper glimpse at 007’s next mission arrived this week with the first trailer for No Time to Die. It certainly looks like a better outing for Daniel Craig than Spectre, and considering this is his send-off as James Bond, that’s good news for fans. But the movie is still roughly five months away, so we’ll have to sink our teeth into some slick official images from the movie in the meantime

Carol Danvers is not the first to hold the title of Captain Marvel. Nor will she be the last. Brie Larson‘s Carol Danvers is being introduced as the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s powerful photon-blasting superhero in Captain Marvel, but the upcoming Marvel film is already laying the groundwork for another comic book fan-favorite to take up the title.

Earlier this year, the seemingly impossible happened: FX actually ordered a pilot for a TV adaptation of writer Brian K. Vaughn and artist Pia Guerra‘s beloved comic book Y: The Last Man. The project had been kicking around Hollywood for over a decade, flirting with a movie version several times before eventually finding a suitor on television at FX.
Now the Y The Last Man cast has been announced, and American Animals star Barry Keoghan has been tapped to play the male lead. In addition, Diane Lane (Justice League) has joined the cast in a key role as a Senator, and we also know who will play Agent 355, the lead’s sister Hero, and more. Captain Marvel has been shooting for a few weeks now, but Marvel Studios has just sent out a press release announcing the start of production. That press release also includes the full cast for the film starring Brie Larson as the new cosmic superhero of the title, and it includes a couple characters from Guardians of the Galaxy and a beloved character we haven’t seen since he was killed off in The Avengers in 2012. In fact, all three of these characters are dead in the current Marvel Cinematic Universe, but Captain Marvel is a prequel set in the ’90s. All bets are off.
