Chilling Adventures of Sabrina promises to be far-removed from the Melissa Joan Hart sitcom Sabrina the Teenage Witch. The Netflix series is an adaptation of the Archie Horror comic book reboot of the popular character, and is said to be considerably dark and more in line with material like Rosemary’s Baby. Two new Chilling Adventures of Sabrina images have just flown in, giving us a new glimpse of star Kiernan Shipka in character, as well as an ominous woodland gathering.

I’ve been looking forward to seeing The Blackcoat’s Daughter ever since I missed it during Fantastic Fest 2015, back when it was still going by its original title, February. Oz Perkins‘ directorial debut inspired a great deal of conversation throughout the festival, with audiences split over whether or not it was a gem or…let’s just say “not a gem.” Any film that can stir up that divide people and get them talking is a must-see.
After a lengthy delay, the film is set to arrive soon and an atmospheric new trailer has shown up.

Kiernan Shipka has new powers. We all know Shipka from her role as Sally Draper on Mad Men; we watched the young actress grow up on the show along with her character. In the new film One & Two, she also plays a young woman with family troubles, but this is a very different story. The two leads, played by Shipka and Timothée Chalamet of Homeland, are trapped on their family farm by an overbearing father who is terrified of their potential. Familiar family drama, right? Kind of, because the potential in these kids manifests as supernatural powers.
Check out the One & Two trailer below, which also features Grant Bowler of Defiance, and Elizabeth Reaser, who had her own role in the final Mad Men season. Read More »
The last time we heard anything about When Marnie Was There, the latest film from Studio Ghibli, was the announcement of the English-language voice cast. As is always the case with films from the Japanese studio, the US localization features a high-calibre cast and may just turn out an English dub that compares favorably with the original Japanese audio. Now there’s a When Marnie Was There US trailer that lets us hear some of that cast, including Hailee Steinfeld as Anna and Kiernan Shipka as Marnie. Read More »

AMC’s still playing coy with the return date for Breaking Bad‘s final season, even though star Aaron Paul seemingly let it slip earlier this month. But if they won’t say when Walt and Jesse will be back on the screen, at least they’ve finally revealed when the hard-working men and women of Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce will. The cable network has just announced a spring bow for Mad Men, which is entering its sixth (and second-to-last) season. More details after the jump.

Before you get all nervous, The Last Airbender: The Legend of Korra is a not a sequel to M. Night Shyamalan’s multiple Razzie award winning (or is it losing) film The Last Airbender. It is, however, a sequel to the wildly popular and critically acclaimed animated television show Avatar: The Last Airbender on which that crappy film was based. Set 70 years in the future, The Legend of Korra follows a new Avatar named Korra whose attempts to master the final element, air, leads her to a brand new, steampunk influenced city. After the jump, check out two images from the show, a detailed description as well as the full cast list that includes Lost‘s Daniel Dae Kim, Aliens‘ Lance Henriksen and Spider-Man‘s J.K. Simmons.
