For the first time ever, Triple Changer Decepticons will be appearing in live-action on the big screen. Able to travel by land and air with equal ease, Triple Changers have the special ability of changing into not one, but two separate types of vehicles — a feature that helps them out in their quest to become greater machines of wars. It was a nifty effect that until now was relegated to toy lines and animated features, but now the new Bumblebee will feature two Triple Changer Decepticons.
Paramount Pictures has released a new Bumblebee featurette that expands on the two Triple Changer Decepticons, and the part they play in hunting down our favorite yellow robot.

Even though the fan presence for Transformers is high at San Diego Comic-Con, the Paramount Pictures film franchise mostly stayed away from the convention center itself when it comes to promoting its upcoming would-be blockbuster. But it sounds like the studio might have something to prove with their first Transformers spin-off focusing on Optimus Prime’s right-hand Autobot.
Bumblebee takes the titular yellow Autobot, who debuted in live-action in the first Transformers movie back in 2007, out on his own adventure. But this time, we flashback to the 1980s when he encountered a teenage girl named Charlie (Hailee Steinfeld) in a small California beach town, and he was just a beat-up old Volkswagen beetle. I like Ike Barinholtz, Leslie Mann, and John Cena. I think they’re all underrated, talented performers, and ever since seeing Barinholtz work his magic as a charmingly weird supporting character in The Mindy Project, I’ve been pulling for him to lock down some more starring roles in big studio comedies. But after watching this new trailer for Universal’s new movie Blockers, in which the three actors play parents who team up to sabotage their daughters’ pact to lose their virginity on prom night, I feel like Switch from The Matrix: “Not like this…not like this.”
