Inhumans! It’s definitely a real show that is really going to be on the air very soon. And to prove it, a new Inhumans trailer has arrived to try to sell audiences one last time on the potentially confusing mythology on display. Most of all, though, this trailer knows the one very specific thing that might convince people still on the fence to watch: that big CGI dog, who gets his own little intro before the Marvel TV logo starts. The Inhumans are an odd bunch. While making my way over to Honolulu, Hawaii to visit the set of the latest Marvel show along with other bloggers and reporters, I enjoyed the oddities of Paul Jenkins and Jae Lee‘s take on Marvel’s Royal family midair. Perhaps it wouldn’t translate to the most accessible or financially responsible series, but the comics (and the family contained within) went to some fantastical, out-of-this-world territory. The ABC series is still set out of this world, at least partially, but is looking to ground the genetically super-powered characters. But they’re initially going big, though, by shooting the first two episodes on IMAX cameras.

Marvel Studios is adding another television show to their line-up of programming that takes place inside the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But much like the ABC series Agents of SHIELD, it seems this show is going to have its own world to play it that is more tangential to the MCU rather than having any direct relationship to it.
Inhumans adapts the Marvel Comics title of the same name, focusing on a royal family of
mutants enhanced individuals who harbor certain special abilities. But when they have their lives uprooted by a military coup, they take sanctuary in Hawaii, where they may find the key to saving the planet.
Marvel and ABC brought an Inhumans Comic-Con panel to San Diego where they discussed the show and revealed some new details about what fans can expect from the latest comic book series to take place in the MCU. Read More »
The full trailer for Marvel’s The Inhumans won’t be released until Thursday, but Marvel treated us to flashes of new footage in a teaser for the trailer today.
There’s not much footage here (about 11 seconds), but it is our first look at this long-gestating project. Let’s hope the rest of the series lives up to the show’s high aspirations.
