Several actors in Steve McQueen’s new heist film Widows have appeared in multiple movies this year: Carrie Coon was in Avengers: Infinity War, Elizabeth Debicki was in The Tale and The Cloverfield Paradox, Daniel Kaluuya was in Black Panther, and Brian Tyree Henry is having a heck of a year by appearing in If Beale Street Could Talk, Hotel Artemis, White Boy Rick, and more.

Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why was a phenomenon for the streaming service, starting conversations about bullying, rape and teen suicide, as well as complaints that it was glamorizing suicide. Season two premiered this year to less of a divided reaction and more just agreement that it was unnecessary and even more problematic.
