Wes Anderson has no problem rounding up an impressive assembly A-list talent whenever he gets behind the camera to direct a new movie. Most of them are recurring stars from his previous collaborations, but with each movie, he brings in some fresh blood who have never worked with the filmmaker before. And one more new collaborator has been added to the cast.
Henry Winkler is enjoying a career resurgence thanks to his role on HBO’s dark comedy series Barry, including a recent Emmy win (though sadly not a Golden Globe win), and now he’s joined The French Dispatch cast, the next film from Wes Anderson that is said to be set within the Paris bureau of an American newspaper. Bill Hader stars in the upcoming HBO comedy series as a hitman-turned-actor, with a cast that includes Henry Winkler and Stephen Root. Hader directs the series, which will arrive on HBO next year. Way back in 2012, we reported that James Wan was working on a new big-screen feature about MacGyver. The movie never actually came to pass, obviously, but now Wan will get to tackle the resourceful hero from a different angle. Sony has just released the first trailer for Here Comes The Boom, a comedy directed by Frank Coraci (The Waterboy) about a high school teacher (James) who becomes a mixed martial arts fighter with the hopes to make enough money to save his school.
