The fight scenes in Iron Fist season 1 weren’t that great, primarily due to a lack of training. Season 2 hopes to improve that, with new, intense fight sequences that take the action to the next level. Iron Fist Season 2 Teaser

Fall is right around the corner, and that means it’s almost time for the return of Finn Jones as Danny Rand, better known as Marvel’s Iron Fist. The first teaser for the show’s second season debuted at San Diego Comic-Con along with an early September release date.

Now a new Iron First season 2 teaser has arrived that gives us an even better look at what’s in store for arguably the least favorite member of The Defenders. The good news is that it feels like the show will have a big course correction, which includes Danny Rand’s new comic book-inspired Iron Fist wardrobe. However, it’s not appearing in the manner which fans might have expected or hoped. Read More »

Iron Fist season 2 Comic-Con

Jeph Loeb, Marvel’s Head of Television, opened the Iron Fist season 2 panel at San Diego Comic-Con International with carefully crafted phrasing: “How do we top the martial arts from Season 1 in Season 2?” The question politely encapsulates a major criticism that many had with the first season of Iron Fist: the fighting (and the story) sucked.

Marvel and Netflix appear to have taken that criticism to heart. The series has benefited from a new showrunner, Raven Metzner, as well as the addition of Clayton Barber, a fight coordinator whose credits include Creed and Black Panther. In addition to the new behind-the-scenes players, the panel also included Finn Jones (Danny Rand), Jessica Henwick (Colleen Wing), Simone Missick (Misty Knight) and, as a surprise late addition to the event, Alice Eve, who is playing (wait for it…) Typhoid Mary.

The group, steered by Jeph’s bombastic interview style, provided an entertaining show. But the real stars of the panel were the exclusive clips Loeb shared of the season to come. Here is a run-down of the Iron Fist season 2 Comic-Con footage, with each clip working hard to convince Marvel fans to give Iron Fist another chance. Read More »

In case you forgot, everyone’s least-favorite Defender is getting a second season! Iron Fist season 2 is currently in pre-production, and Star Trek Into Darkness co-star Alice Eve has just joined the cast. There are no details on Eve’s role yet, but it’s likely at one point she’ll come in contact with Danny Rand and mutter “Ugh, you’re the worst” under her breath.

Luke Cage Season 2 Iron Fist

I regret to inform you that Marvel is at it again. They’ve decided that audiences just haven’t had enough of super-doofus Iron Fist, and are finding a way to insert the character into season 2 of Luke Cage. The Defenders Trailer

Though Marvel fans may be eager to see the likes of Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones and Iron Fist team up for the first assembly of The Defenders in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the characters themselves don’t seem to be eager to be part of a team.

A new trailer for the first season of Netflix’s latest Marvel series brings all the heroes from their individual shows together to take on a larger threat in the form of Sigourney Weaver. With the series debut just around the corner, one more trailer has surfaced online, showing the street-level heroes enjoying a quick bite to eat before being thrust into action again. Watch below! the defenders early buzz

The Defenders made a surprise premiere at San Diego Comic Con, nearly a month before it is set to be released on Netflix. Along with the lucky fans in Hall H, reviewers got an early peek at the Marvel-Netflix crossover event, which sees the team-up of the New York-centric heroes Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist.

Early reviews of The Defenders are in and most say it’s worth the wait. An ambitious project spanning two years since the release of the first solo Netflix series, Defenders finally gets the streetwise heroes to unite — though it still takes its sweet time to do it.

Cool Posts From Around the Web:

the defenders poster

“There’s no us in team,” the caption for the new motion teasers for Marvel’s Netflix series The Defenders claims. But Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist all look pretty cozy — and fierce — in the just-released poster for the series.

The four superheroes who fight on the streets of New York glare at no one in particular in the new poster and key art, looking like they came straight out of promotional material for a ’90s network TV drama. And I mean that in the best way, because those early 2000s promos on The WB were nothing short of amazing.

Check out The Defenders poster after the jump.
