At first, XXX: The Return of Xander Cage seemed like a pipe dream, a thing Vin Diesel would bring up in interviews as part of a desperate ploy to have a wingless angel assigned to his case. And now it’s actually filming with director D.J. Caruso at the helm and a genuinely bizarre ensemble of actors filling out the space not taken up by Diesel-bulk. However, it look like one of the previously announced actors won’t be in the film after all.
Jet Li has apparently dropped out of the latest XXX film, but Donnie Yen has quickly taken his place. Let’s get really honest for a second: the production has traded up here.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story remains cloaked in mystery. However, now that Star Wars: The Force Awakens has started to settle down a bit, details of the upcoming spin-off film (set in the days before the original 1977 Star Wars and following the Rebel soldiers who steal the Death Star plans) should soon start to trickle out at reasonable pace. Soon being the key word there. In the meantime, we have to rely on whatever the rumor mill has been churning out…and the rumor mill has been very busy.

It’s been 15 years since Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon hit theaters. And while that might seem a little late for a sequel, Hollywood has been obsessed with returning to dormant films for new franchise opportunities. Upon first inspection, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon 2 doesn’t seem like the most obvious cash grab for Netflix, but there’s a good chance this movie will play big overseas.

Here’s the first Ip Man 3 teaser, complete with some footage of Mike Tyson as the antagonist of the film. (He’s not playing himself, by the way.) Donnie Yen returns as Ip Man, most famous for teaching Bruce Lee, though that point in his life is only one of many achievements.

However, considering the source and what we know about both Rogue One and the forthcoming Episode VIII, we’re not sure if the details of this particular rumor are true. Find out more about Donnie Yen in Star Wars after the jump, but beware of potential spoilers! Read More »
