Free Cinelinx Print-and-Play Game

Have you heard of the movie-connection card game Cinelinx? We featured it back in 2014 when it was just trying to get funding through Kickstarter, but it’s ben a full fledged card game complete with expansion packs for years. Now that you find yourself stuck at home with fewer things to keep you occupied everyday, maybe you’d like to give it a shot. Unfortunately, it might be difficult to get certain things shipped right now due to the coronavirus outbreak. But the creators of Cinelinx have you covered.

The official Cinelinx website is offering a free print-and-play version of the game, just like Cards Against Humanity does, so you can start making movie connections with your friends as soon as possible. Cinelinx Expansion Packs

If you’ve been reading /Film for a few years, you might remember us touting a cool movie card game called Cinelinx. The game featured 220 cards that have either actors names, directors names, movie titles, scenes, quotes, or genres on them, and players had to figure out how to create links between them with the cards in their hands. It was a successful Kickstarter campaign that resulted in the game getting produced, and now the creators are looking to keep the fun going with two new expansion packs.

Cinelinx has started a new Kickstarter campaign to fund two new expansion packs, The 80s and Blockbusters 1970s-2017, each with 54 new cards that tie into the original game. The pledge to back the expansion packs and get your own for helping push the project forward is pretty cheap too, so find out how you can support the project below. Read More »

Cinelinx App

You might remember a few years ago we featured a Kickstarter for a card game made just for cinephiles. The game was called Cinelinx, and it had players match actors to the movies they’ve been in, other actors they’ve worked with, and directors of their movies. It was like a card game version of Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon but with any actor, actress, movie or filmmaker.

If you never picked up the card game, there’s a much easier way to play, and you don’t even need your friends in the same room. Cinelinx is now available as a mobile app though the iTunes App Store and Google Play. Get details on the Cinelinx app below. Read More »
