While the geek world is fascinated to see Zack Snyder‘s cut of Justice League when it arrives on HBO Max next year, we may not have to wait that long to see a new Snyder movie. Army of the Dead, his zombie heist thriller, is in post-production for Netflix right now, but recent events have necessitated a casting change. Actor/comedian Chris D’Elia, who was recently accused of sexually harassing underage girls, has been replaced by Tig Notaro, the acclaimed actor/comedian you may recognize from Star Trek: Discovery or her Amazon series One Mississippi.

Director Zack Snyder has a presence at San Diego Comic-Con this year, even though the filmmaker himself isn’t attending the convention. Tucker & Dale vs. Evil is a fantastic horror comedy. Eli Craig‘s directorial debut is a sweet, bloody as hell and consistently funny film with two standout performances. Craig has reunited with the star of his first movie, Tyler Labine, for his second feature, Little Evil. The Netflix comedy stars Adam Scott (Parks and Recreation) and Evangeline Lilly (Ant-Man) as a newly wed couple. They’re happily married, but there’s one problem: the child (Owen Atlas) they’re raising is the antichrist.

What do you do if you love raves but hate leaving the house? Well, if you’ve got a Netflix subscription, you put on XOXO. Directed by Christopher Louie, the EDM drama follows six strangers whose lives intersect as they make their way to a giant music festival. Our main hero is Ethan (The Good Wife‘s Graham Phillips), an up-and-coming DJ who books a last minute slot at XOXO after his latest tracks go viral.
There’s also Krystal (Modern Family‘s Sarah Hyland), who seems to in the mood for love, and Neil (Whitney‘s Chris D’Elia), who seems really cranky about having to attend XOXO, plus Hayley Kiyoko (Jem), Ryan Hansen (Veronica Mars), Ione Skye (Say Anything…), Colin Woodell (The Originals), and Brett DelBuono (Let Me In). Watch the XOXO trailer below. Read More »
