ABC has been wanting to expand their Marvel slate. Marvel Television developed a pilot for Marvel’s Most Wanted, a spinoff featuring two characters from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Bobbi Morse (Adrianne Palicki) and Lance Hunter (Nick Blood) were even written out of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. to set the stage for their own show. However, ABC ultimately decided not to order Marvel’s Most Wanted to series. Should it fail to find another home, could Palicki and Blood return to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.?
“Interesting question, one that Marvel’s probably best positioned to answer,” ABC Entertainment president Channing Dungey said during the panel. “The characters were sort of disavowed in the show as they call it, but I never underestimate Marvel’s ability to bring people back.”
Dungey also touched upon the decision to cancel Agent Carter, teased other Marvel ABC shows in development, and discussed the Castle cancellation. Read More »

ABC recently decided that Agent Carter wouldn’t be reporting for duty in a third season of the Marvel Studios television show, and they’re not pursuing Marvel’s Most Wanted as a new series either. But that was just the tip of the iceberg of ABC’s cancellations. NBC, CBS and FOX also gave the axe to some of their shows.
ABC put the hammer down on The Muppets and took out Nathan Fillion’s Castle as well. Meanwhile Fox knocked out a bunch of their freshmen comedies, including The Grinder, NBC cut their live sitcom Undateable and CBS took out the last remnants of CSI at the network. For better or for worse, networks are finally sorting out their schedules for the 2012-2013 season, which means renewals and cancellations are being announced left and right. Viewers of NBC and ABC’s comedy lineups will be happy to see most of their favorites safe for another year, but Awake fans should prepare to say goodbye. For TV fans, next week begins one of the most exciting events of the year: PaleyFest. It’s a two-week festival in Los Angeles where the casts and crews of some of TV’s most successful shows hold in-depth discussions and Q&A’s about where their shows have been and are going. This year ,the featured shows are American Horror Story, Community, Once Upon A Time, New Girl, The Office, Sons of Anarchy, Bones, Castle, The Vampire Diaries, Revenge, Two and a Half Men, Mad Men and Modern Family.
And though not everyone can be in person to see these events, this year PaleyFest has partnered with Hulu to stream them after the fact. Starting March 15, several (but not all) of the panels will be online for your viewing pleasure.
