Magic Mike XXL is set to reunite most of the hardbodies from the first film, save Matthew McConaughey. But every sequel needs some fresh blood, and so Magic Mike XXL has just added its first new cast member.

Here we go again. We’ve seen a teaser trailer for Craig Brewer‘s remake of the ’80s film Footloose, and now here’s the full thing. Well, here’s another trailer, anyway — this one is quite a bit shorter than the teaser. That Footloose remake that no one asked for and everyone keeps forgetting about (okay, maybe that’s just me) is still moving forward, and we have new images to prove it. The updated version stars relative unknown Kenny Wormald as protagonist Ren McCormack and two-time Dancing with the Stars winner Julianne Hough as love interest Ariel Moore — the parts originally played by Kevin Bacon and Lori Singer.
The new photos show, among other things, Hough looking cute in cutoffs, Wormald looking like a slick city boy, and Dennis Quaid and Andie MacDowell as Ariel’s parents. Check ’em out after the jump.

I just wrote about Butter the other day — that’s the Black List script by Jason Micallef that is becoming a comedy with satirical overtones starring Rob Corddry and Jennifer Garner. Now Ashley Greene, aka the one reason I’d think about ever wanting to watch any of the Twilight films, is signing on to play “a rebellious high school teenager.” I still love the core idea — an Iowa butter-carving competition is allegory for the 2008 Democratic caucus — and this cast is really shaping up.
