It’s incredibly easy to throw around the phrase “a cult movie.” To classify a film as such well before it deserves that moniker. Even if you think a film will eventually reach that status (as I recently said about Attack the Block) a film doesn’t truly reach “cult” status for a while. It takes time.
YouTube user Kronan the Barbarian (real name Daniel Krone) has created a cool, mini-documentary called A Cult Influence which explores the phenomenon in a unique and local way. If you’re a fan of the kind of film that a small percentage of people are totally obsessed with years after its initial release, you’ll find this 10 minute movie enjoyable.
