“Guardians of The Galaxy: Vol. 3” closes out the story of the Guardians, and Zoe Saldana has confirmed that she’s retiring the role of Gamora for good.
When asked in an interview if she would play Gamora again, Saldana stated, "I think the time has come for me to step down, and for the next generation to come forward."
Saldana also added, "The one thing I would not want is for Gamora to go away. She's been such an impactful character for fans and especially [...] young female fans."
In addition to Saldana, Drax’s actor Dave Bautista also confirmed that he’s done playing his “Guardians” character but hopes the role is passed on to another actor.
"If [Gunn] were to call, I would have his back any day because, you know, it would be fun. It's always fun working with him," Saldana stated in an interview.
