You Probably Missed This Spider-Man Easter Egg In X-Men ‘97
By WITNEY SEIBOLD
Marvel has gifted fans with a revival of the beloved series “X-Men '97” with a modern twist. Amidst its release, an Easter egg hinted at a hero's presence and a crossover.
The Easter egg in question occurs during a scene in the premiere episode where the X-Men are gathered in the Danger Room, engaging in a training session, and the hero is spotted.
Eagle-eyed fans might have noticed a glimpse of a newspaper named “Daily Bugle” floating across the screen, revealing a headline stating “Spider-Man Sighted in New York.”
The news outlet should sound familiar to Spider-Man and Marvel fans, as it is where his alias, Peter Parker, works as a photographer and journalist.
Although not confirmed, fans can be hopeful for a possible crossover. Many of Marvel’s animated projects frequently overlapped during the 90s animation phase.
Spider-Man joined the X-Men and Professor Xavier when he needed help researching mutations in his own show. As for now, fans must assume that he is web-slinging off-screen.
