YellowJackets S2 Episode 4 May Have Confirmed A Major Javi Theory
By VALERIE ETTENHOFER
Spoiler Warning!
This story contains spoilers for "Yellowjackets" Season 2.
Season 2, Episode 4 of “Yellowjackets” reveals that Javi (Luciano Leroux), who went missing during the drug-induced events of the Doomcoming, has managed to survive.
However, the question now is how did Javi survive in the wilderness, as it has been months since he escaped the savagery of Doomcoming, and it’s clear that he’s changed since then.
While it would be easy to credit a mystical force for his survival, the most likely explanation is that he found some sort of shelter while hiding from the others.
Natalie and Travis come across a moss-covered stump while searching for Javi, which may have indicated something was inside the stump and keeping it warm enough to thaw the ice.
Another possibility is that the stump is an entrance to an underground bunker or series of tunnels that would have warm air vented inside, thus explaining the growing moss.
The bunker theory has been popular among fans since Season 1 after Lottie saw a vision of tunnels and passageways lit up by candles — similar to Travis’ vision of the stump.
Javi’s reappearance may confirm the popular bunker theory, but it also raises a few new questions about how he’s survived all this time by himself.
