Why The Creators Of Bones Were Forced To Kill Off Vincent

“Bones” transformed Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz into household names, but it also took many of its supporting cast to the next level, so it was sad to see them go.
Vincent Nigel-Murray (Ryan Cartwright) was a fan-favorite but became the victim of a bullet wound in season 6. It was a heartbreaking moment that producers wanted to avoid.
Hart Hanson explained that the show’s creatives knew that “someone was going to die [in season 6].” Cartwright had a part in “Alphas,” so it was his character that was killed.
The creators wanted to bring back a character with a similar name and the same actor, so they trash-talked him to the “Alphas” producers to keep Cartwright with “Bones.”
