Why The Boys Just Hit An All-Time Low On Rotten Tomatoes

The new season of “The Boys” has a 95% approval rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, but the audience score on the Tomatometer is at a surprisingly low 51%.
As the show has progressed, Homelander has become increasingly terrible. It's apparent to viewers now that they have begun to see the show's (very obvious) political messaging.
Many fans are realizing they've accidentally been rooting for a villain this entire time. Upon this revelation, upset viewers are going to Rotten Tomatoes to record their outrage.
The bulk of negative comments are one-sentence missives like "worst season ever,” leading to suspicions that "The Boys" is getting review-bombed to artificially sink the score.
