Why Suits Spinoff Pearson Barely Mentioned Mike And Harvey

The original main characters of “Suits,” including Mike and Harvey, are barely even mentioned in the spinoff “Pearson,” despite the creators’ plans for a cross-examining crossover.
Harvey and Louis are both featured over two phone calls, and Donna is briefly mentioned as well. Daniel Arkin, the producer, was placed in charge of how much the two shows overlap.
Arkin believed that “Pearson” needed its own identity before bringing in other beloved characters. Co-creator Aaron Korsh agreed with him in an interview with Deadline.
Korsh commented, “I feel like it needs to establish its world and its tone and its characters firmly before [...] ‘Suits’ series regulars becoming any kind of part of that show.”
Although the show never mentions Mike and barely brings up Harvey, it certainly hasn't hurt the “Suits” brand and might have even renewed interest in the series.
