Why Star Wars Decided Against Having Yaddle Talk Like Yoda

Although Yaddle spoke in a deleted scene of “Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace,” it wouldn’t be until “Tales of the Jedi” that many fans heard her talk.
To the surprise of many, Yaddle didn’t share Yoda’s unique way of speaking. Filmmaker Dave Filoni shared the reason why the two Jedi spoke differently despite being the same race.
Filoni explained to Nerdist that the decision was due to something Frank Oz, the original puppeteer and voice actor for Yoda, had told him years before.
He said, “Frank Oz told me once that Yoda speaks that way specifically in honor of his own master. That was what he had thought about it.”
