Why Ryan Reynolds Said No To Starring In Buffy The Vampire Slayer
By DREW TINNIN
“Buffy the Vampire Slayer," had it all: vampires, slayers, spells, werewolves, a Hellmouth, high school trials and tribulations, and college jocks that were secretly androids.
It turns out, “Buffy” almost also had Ryan Reynolds. Coming off early career roles in shows like “The X-Files,” he chose to star in "Two Guys, A Girl, and a Pizza Place" instead.
Speaking to the Toronto Star, Reynolds didn't have any regrets about his decision, saying he just “didn't want to play a guy in high school.”
He added, "I had just come out of high school and it was f****** awful." Reynolds graduated from Vancouver's Kitsilano Secondary School and was supposedly "tormented by bullies."
