Why Ray Romano Will Never Return To Everybody Loves Raymond

On "Real Time with Bill Maher," Ray Romano was questioned if he would entertain the idea of a new season of "Everybody Loves Raymond." His response was an emphatic no.
Romano is reluctant to revisit his role as Raymond, citing the lack of success in revivals, the passing of former castmates, and his commitment to preserving the legacy unaltered.
Romano further explained his reasoning for not returning to the series, stating, "[Revivals are] never as good. [...] We want to leave with our legacy with what it is."
Romano cited the deaths of Roberts and Boyle, who played the star's parents, as a primary reason why there will never be a reboot.
He added, "The rest of the cast was happy to go on, but myself and Phil Rosenthal — who ran the show — we wanted it to end [...] because we just felt it, we felt it [was] time."
