Why Lizzy Caplan Isn't Involved
In The
Party Down Revival

Fans looking forward to the revival of the Starz cult favorite comedy Party Down were undeniably let down to learn Season 3 would move forward without Lizzy Caplan’s beloved character Casey Klein. Particularly because Henry (Adam Scott) and Casey’s storyline was left on a cliffhanger.
When asked about the Caplan situation in a roundtable discussion, "Party Down" co-creator John Enbom explained, "Everyone got famous since we did it the first time in a way that scheduling is now the monster for us [...] She was the one that ended up just having all these other things lined up in such a way that we could not make it work."
While it's a huge bummer that Casey won't be joining the crew for this season, hopefully, it's a hit and the network orders another one. If everyone's schedules maybe fans will finally get to see Henry and Casey together again. In the meantime, the Caplan-free Starz revival will premiere on February 24, 2023.
