Why Henry Cavill Chose That Suit for Superman's Black Adam Return

After years of speculation and endless rumors, Henry Cavill marked his return as the Man of Steel in the “Black Adam” mid-credits scene and has confirmed that he is here to stay as the DCEU’s Superman. Cavill arrives to confront Kahndaq’s newly-crowned protector, sporting his “Man of Steel” suit in a moment that was not only satisfying
for fans but nostalgic for the actor.
According to Cavill, the actor gravitated toward that suit over others for various reasons, saying, “I chose that one in particular because of the nostalgia attached to the suit. It was important for me to be standing there and enjoying that moment. That is one of the top moments in my career. It feels great to have the opportunity to wear it again.”
The “Man of Steel” suit may not have the red trunks from the classic design, but everything else reflects a modern Superman and inspires hope. While it seemed Warner Bros. was done with Cavill’s iteration of the character, the actor believed otherwise: “I told myself I’m gonna let it sit and simmer in the background. I never lost hope,
that was the key for me.”
