Why Godzilla: King Of Monster's Cut Mechagodzilla From The Film

Max Borenstein, a writer for the first four MonsterVerse films, disclosed to Syfy that his initial draft of 2019's "Godzilla: King of the Monsters" included Mechagodzilla.
He mentioned that "It took a lot of tinkering to get it to work." However, the idea was eventually scrapped, and the iconic mechsuit debuted in 2021's "Godzilla vs. Kong" instead.
In "Godzilla vs. Kong," Mechagodzilla was a natural fit into the plot, serving as a powerful antagonist for both Godzilla and Kong and giving them a compelling reason to unite.
Borenstein himself supported the decision, admitting that iIt made a lot of sense," and helped pit the Titans against an equally formidable and "iconic villain" in Mechagodzilla.
