X-Cutioner is a villain introduced in the 1993 Uncanny X-Men comics by writer Scott Lobdell and artist Jason Pearson during the original X-Men animated series' run.
FBI agent Carl Denti had a partner, Fred Duncan, who helped mutants and aided Professor X. After a mutant killed Duncan, Denti sought revenge and took the alias X-Cutioner.
X-Cutioner’s signature style targets mutants with a history of killing, using advanced weaponry from the X-Men's past enemies, such as Sentinel robots and alien technology.
This enemy technology can be seen in Marvel's new revival series "X-Men '97," where X-Cutioner wields a weapon that can irreversibly strip mutants of their powers.
At the end of episode 2, one of the X-Men has the opportunity to defeat X-Cutioner but chooses to show restraint. Fans will eagerly await his decision in upcoming episodes.
