What The Ending Of The Silent Hill Movie Really Means
By BJ COLANGELO
"Silent Hill" is a psychological nightmare. A woman named Rose travels to a fictional town in West Virginia to investigate the past of her adopted daughter, Alessa.
After a fire sweeps the town, no bodies are found. Many assume they were all part of the ash, but in reality, their bodies are in a timeless dimension created by Alessa.
Both reality and the other dimension exist simultaneously without either knowing. People see the events in Silent Hill as an unfortunate event, and no need for further exploration.
Due to trauma, Alessa was split into three parts: the good became Sharon and left the hellish version of Silent Hill, with Alessa and Dark Alessa still confined to the gray dimension.
Sharon saw Dark Alessa during the carnage in the chapel. This contact allowed Dark Alessa to become one with Sharon, reuniting with her good side and inhabiting one body.
Alessa can leave the city limits of Silent Hill, but as she is Bound to the dimension her rage created, it expands to give her a bigger, though alternate, world.
