What That Second Thor: Love And Thunder Credit Scene Means For The MCU

At the end of "Thor: Love and Thunder" Natalie Portman's Jane Foster aka The Mighty Thor uses Mjolnir to help save the world and then dies in Thor’s arms. In the after-credits scene, Jane walks through a gate, and finds the late Heimdall who says, "Welcome to Valhalla." This suggests that Jane is an official deity and it leaves the door open for something very interesting.
In the Marvel comics, Valhalla does exist and is a region of the Asgard planetoid. So what does this mean for the future of the MCU? This is just speculation, but now that Taika Waititi has added Vallhalla to this film means that it's a place we could visit again.
It is unknown if Portman is set to return to the MCU but if she does, we could see her become the first of a new generation of Valkyries as she did in the comics. It would also open the door to seeing some dead Asgardians again, including Odin and Frigga. Portman's return could also bring about that Captain Marvel and Mighty Thor team-up movie that the actress recently expressed interest in.
