What Leia’s Likely Up To During The Events Of Ahsoka
By RYAN SCOTT
While “Ahsoka” takes place after the end of “Return of the Jedi” and the forming of the New Republic, some notable characters are absent from the story, such as Princess Leia.
The Rebellion hero has a strong voice in the New Republic at this time, leaving some to wonder why she isn’t present.
“The Rise of Skywalker” showed brief glimpses of her training to become a Jedi, and new canon novels like “Bloodline” reveal that she became a Senator in the New Republic.
With such a prominent role in the New Republic and a leader in the Rebellion, viewers may see the character return later in “Ahsoka.”
Series writer and producer Dave Filoni has opted to ignore Leia for the time being, but that doesn’t mean he will forever.
