What Bones Fans Hilariously Get Wrong About Gibbons

Vocalist and guitarist in the band ZZ Top, Billy Gibbons was a recurring character on "Bones," appearing in seven episodes over the series' 12 seasons.
With his magnificent beard, the rock star is instantly recognizable playing the father of Angela Montenegro, a Jeffersonian Institute forensic artist.
Though he's never referred to by name, Gibbons plays a fictionalized version of himself — leading some to question whether he is in fact the actress, Michaela Conlin's, father.
Even people Gibbons knows think he’s Conlin’s dad. "He didn't correct them because they thought it was so funny that they believed that," Emily Deschanel said.
