This Was The Toughest Stunt In Avengers: Age Of Ultron

Marvel Studios rehired director Joss Whedon to helm "Age of Ultron" after the success of the first "Avengers" movie; however, it was harder than expected.
In the film, Ultron built an underground anti-gravity device in the European nation Sokovia. He lifts the city into the sky, intending to smack it into the Earth like a meteor.
The device's control pillar is found in a church in the city's center. The Avengers must stand around it in a circle to prevent Ultron from touching the controls.
Whedon had intended to film the scene from a distant 360-degree angle, giving an eagle-eye view of the Avengers fighting off robot hordes reminiscent of a comic panel.
Greg Powell, the stunt coordinator, admitted to MovieWeb the challenge of filming the scene, stating, "To do that with all of the major actors in one scene, was difficult, [...]"
Devin Meenan of /Film attended the Tribeca Film Festival, where Whedon shared his issues with directing the motion picture, admitting it made him feel like "a miserable failure."
