This Is Mark Hamill’s Favorite Star Wars Movie Of All Time

In his 1997 review of a Special Edition re-release of a Star Wars trilogy movie, Roger Ebert declared his favorite of the three movies set in a galaxy far, far away.
In polls, "The Empire Strikes Back," ranks as not just one of the best sequels, but also one of the all-time great Hollywood films. Even Luke Skywalker’s actor Mark Hamill agrees.
Hamill told The Hollywood Reporter that "Empire" is his favorite "Star Wars" movie “only because it was so unexpected to have the protagonist be so soundly defeated.”
“Losing the hand and the dad Vader, all of it was pretty unexpected. And it was much more cerebral,” Hamill added, noting “Yoda is such an important addition to the mythology.”
Mostly, Hamill liked George Lucas’ clever concept of the Force, saying, “You can talk about religion and spirituality without making everyone uncomfortable. So, for that alone."
