This Classic Love Actually Scene Didn’t Age Well At All
By VALERIE ETTENHOFER
In an interview with The Independent for the 20th anniversary of “Love, Actually,” producer Richard Curtis said he was surprised that the film’s climax is called a stalker scene.
Curtis thinks the description is a testament to a more modern audience, but says that no one involved in the filming found it off-putting back when the movie was being made.
Cracked tried to chart fans' changing reactions to the famous sign scene, but noted that "Saturday Night Live" made jokes about how creepy it was back in 2014.
Actor Andrew Lincoln once told reporters he questioned Curtis during filming, asking him, “Are you sure I'm not going to come off as a creepy stalker?"
