These Horror Movies Bombed So Hard They Were Pulled From Theaters

Director Uwe Boll has become known for adapting video games into major film releases, but some of his movies, such as "Alone in the Dark," are critically panned.
The movie premiered in 2,124 theaters across the U.S. to abysmal reviews from critics. By the third week, it was only in 209 theaters before it disappeared entirely.
The outrage was so extreme that the film was pulled from theaters shortly after its release, even though it had been performing surprisingly well at the box office.
Another Boll-directed video game adaptation, "House of the Dead" revolves around a group of college students who discover an island filled with zombies.
"House of the Dead" was eviscerated by critics and failed to make much of an impression at the box office. The film was pulled after a month from its release.
Completed two years before its eventual release, The Disappointments Room" saw a grieving mother moving into an old mansion with her husband and surviving son.
When it was finally released in 2016, it opened in 1,554 theaters. However, the film was only shown in 36 theaters by its third weekend, setting a new record.
Disney's live-action '80s film "The Watcher in the Woods" was supposed to end with a special effects sequence, but it wasn't finished by the film's release.
