The Witcher’s Anya Chalotra Thought She Wouldn’t Last A Single Day On Set

Anya Chalotra, who was fresh out of drama school when she was cast as Yennefer of Yengerberg in “The Witcher,” had anxieties about the first day of filming.
Chalotra explained that she was not well-versed in acting for the camera, and the weight of showing up to such a big-budget production was stress-inducing for her.
She said, “All I’ve ever known was theatre. I haven’t worked with a black box in front of my face, despite having come out of drama school and calling myself an actor.”
She added, “My mind was all over the place. I couldn't understand this way of working. I had to figure out what my process was quite quickly,” but she overcame the learning curve.
