Anya Taylor-Joy has a secret role in “Dune: Part Two,” albeit a quick cameo as the adult version of Alia Atreides, Paul’s sister.
In the “Dune” book, Alia is born with the mental abilities of a fully grown adult and joins the novel’s climactic battle. However, in “Part Two,” Alia is yet to be born.
This change is due to “Part Two” taking place over months rather than years, like in the novel. Alia appears as an adult in one of Paul’s visions in the film.
Taylor-Joy’s role could be more significant in a third movie like Alia is in the novels “Dune Messiah” and “Children of Dune.”
