The Soldier Character Played By Kurt Russell's Son Wyatt
By WITNEY SEIBOLD
Wyatt Russell was only 12 when he and his father both played the character Sergeant Todd 3465 in Paul W.S. Anderson's sci-fi war film "Soldier."
"Soldier" is set in 1996 and sees the United States beginning a lifelong project to raise children to be nameless super-soldiers, versed exclusively in the language of war.
Young Todd is one of the children born into the program and raised to be a killing machine. Wyatt plays Todd’s 12-year-old version, learning to fight and obey orders.
Wyatt was cast in "Soldier" because he and his father look so much alike. When the film fast-forwarded to 2036, Todd was played by Kurt Russell, who was 47 at the time.
