William Shatner
Best known as Captain Kirk, William Shatner also starred in "T.J. Hooker," “The Practice,” and “Boston Legal,” and spoof films like "Airplane II: The Sequel."
Shatner released several albums of speak-singing, directed several "Star Trek" documentaries, and authored several novels. The spry 92-year-old is also an equestrian enthusiast.
George Takei
George Takei, who played the practical Hikaru Sulu, authored a graphic novel about his childhood experiences in a Japanese internment camp during World War II.
Since the show, he has run for political seats, married his long-term partner, Brad Altman, been an outspoken queer rights and political activist, and appears at fan conventions.
Walter Koenig
Walter Koenig had smaller roles in TV series before joining "Star Trek" in its second season as the youthful Russian heartthrob, Pavel Chekov.
He continued on TV after the show, and reprised his role in "Star Trek: New Voyages." Koenig is a civil rights advocate in Burma, and still appears at Trekkie conventions.
