The One Thing Standing In The Way Of A Bones Reboot

While “Bones” has been off the air for more than six years, the show could see a revival. However, show creator Hart Hanson revealed there are some issues with the prospect.
While some cast members were interested in a revival, Hanson told Variety, “It’s complicated now because Fox broadcast Bones, but Disney now bought 20th, so they own [the show].”
He continued, “It would take a million agents and lawyers to figure out who owns what and what platform it would show on... But we do keep talking.”
With “Bones” streaming on Hulu as of 2023, it could make sense for the revival to be on that platform should Disney and Fox want to work out the ownership complications.
