David Boreanaz portrayed FBI agent Seeley Booth on the TV series "Bones," a character with a dark past. He told EW that he regrets not exploring that more.
The show was far more focused on the screwball comedy relationship between Booth and his murder-investigating colleague, Bones, than Booth's dark backstory.
He also called it "a joy" to work with showrunner Hart Hanson over 12 seasons, "who was open to creative endeavor, creative possibility, [and] creative outlet."
