The appearance of two former “Breaking Bad” co-stars, Giancarlo Esposito and Charles Baker, occurred in Season 3 of “The Mandalorian,” and it was wholly unplanned.

While this may be a quirk of casting, Esposito and Baker once again play characters whose paths never cross in the show.

Baker's lovable but slow-witted character, Skinny Pete, never met Esposito's calculated druglord and chicken-chain figurehead, Gus Fring, in “Breaking Bad.”

In “The Mandalorian,” Esposito's power-mad Moff Gideon is too focused on reclaiming the Darksaber from Bo Katan and defeating Din Djarin to battle Baker's “Survivor Scout.”

While the Season 3 finale of “The Mandalorian” did not see Esposito and Baker cross paths, the possibility still exists for a proper “Breaking Bad” reunion in Season 4.
