The Mandalorian Has Shown The Way For Bo-Katan To Rebuild Mandalore
By BRYAN YOUNG
Spoiler Warning!
This story contains spoilers for “The Mandalorian” Season 3, Episode 3,
“The Convert.”
Bo-Katan Kryze spent many years trying to reunite her people with hope seemingly vanishing after Moff Gideon stole the Darksaber during the Night of a Thousand Tears. However, “The Mandalorian” episode “Chapter 19: The Convert” may have shown Bo-Katan the best chance she has to unite her people once more and usher in a new era for her home planet.
After rescuing Din Djarin from the depths of the Living Waters of Mandalore and seeing the mythosaur, Bo-Katan had inadvertently cleansed her “sins” in the eyes of the Children of the Watch, a sect of Mandalorian culture. So long as she doesn’t remove her helmet, she’ll be considered a true Mandalorian in their eyes and may learn a way to bring all of Mandalore together.
In “The Book of Boba Fett,” the Armorer revealed that “the songs of eons past foretold of the mythosaur rising up to herald a new age of Mandalore.” While the knowledge of the mythosaur’s existence could help her reunite the Mandalorians, Bo-Katan doesn’t possess the Darksaber, which may lead to a conflict with Din. Perhaps she’ll learn her father’s lessons and bring everyone together.
