The Mandalorian Decides Jetpacks Are Old And Busted, Introduces New Hotness

Spoiler Warning!
This story contains spoilers for Season 3, Episode 4 of
"The Mandalorian."
Accessories like a jetpack with a rocket launcher, a flame thrower, and the iconic helmet have become synonymous with the Mandalorians. However, Season 3, Episode 4 of "The Mandalorian" hints that maybe the franchise is ready to move away from jetpacks, or at least seems to be admitting that jetpacks have their limits.
In Episode 4, one of the Mandalorian foundlings is kidnapped by a raptor-like creature, and the Mandalorians rush in to help but fail to recover it before their jetpacks run out of fuel. This scene highlights the obvious limitation of a jetpack — they can only be used in short distances, and even then, can be easily shot at and blown up.
Toward the end of the episode, the Mandalorians save the kid, kill the raptor, and rescue the creature’s babies, which might make fans wonder if the young raptors will grow up to replace the jetpacks. Given Boba Fett's history of riding a creature as a mount and a raptor's ability to maneuver in a fight, the prospect doesn't sound unlikely.
